As many of you know, over the past two years Ronin Noir, a fledgling Film Production Company (Tommy Baker, Paul Coffey, and Joe Flaksman), has been filming a documentary “FACING EAST,” about Eastern Cemetery, Andy Harpole, the amazing group of volunteers, and the relatives and loved ones of those buried at Eastern. We approach this documentary with the goal of getting more exposure for the plight of the cemetery, documenting its history before it disappears into time, and spreading awareness not just about the problems here but at any and all cemeteries which have similar issues. We hope that sharing information on how to start other groups and how best to make a difference can ensure that as Phil DiBlasi said in his interview with us, “This never happens again.”

Wednesday June 3, 2015 Ronin Noir is having a fundraising party at Bearno’s Pizza in the Highlands from 4pm until Midnight. Come for as short or long as you like and enjoy free live music, hot pizza, and cold beer. A percentage of all sales from the entire day will go directly into the budget for the film.
